Work With Blue Presto

Evidence Work, Done by People Who Know the Ground

We are continuously building our roster of national experts and field professionals. If you have experience in monitoring, verification, research, finance, data, or technical assessment — and you know Afghanistan’s operating context — we want to hear from you.

Experts Needed

Current Openings

We are recruiting experts across our service areas. Positions are based in Afghanistan and may involve field travel. To apply for a listed role, use the application form below and mention the position in your message.

Financial & Taxation

Our Financial & Taxation experts help clients navigate Afghanistan’s tax and financial compliance landscape with confidence. From tax registration and filing to financial reviews and advisory, you will work directly with businesses, NGOs, and institutions that need accurate, defensible financial positions — whether for donors, regulators, or their own boards.

You bring deep knowledge of Afghan tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting, along with the professional skepticism to spot what doesn’t add up. You will lead engagements end to end: scoping the work, reviewing records, preparing findings, and presenting clear recommendations that clients can act on.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

Our MEL experts design the systems that tell our clients whether their programs are actually working. You will build results frameworks, develop indicators and data-collection tools, and lead baseline, midline, and endline studies for programs across Afghanistan — turning field data into evidence that shapes decisions.

You are as comfortable in a Kabul workshop as you are in a remote field site, and you know how to build MEL systems that survive real-world conditions. We are looking for professionals with strong quantitative and qualitative skills, experience with donor reporting standards, and the ability to translate findings into practical, honest recommendations.

Independent Verification

Verification is the backbone of what we do. As an Independent Verification expert, you will conduct third-party monitoring, beneficiary verification, and results validation for donor-funded and public programs — providing the impartial assurance that funders and stakeholders rely on before releasing the next tranche of funding.

This work demands integrity above all: you follow the evidence wherever it leads and report it plainly. You will design verification methodologies, manage field teams, ensure data quality, and deliver verification reports that stand up to scrutiny from auditors, donors, and government counterparts.

Research & Assessments

Our research practice produces the studies and assessments that guide policy and program design across Afghanistan. As a Research & Assessments expert, you will lead needs assessments, feasibility studies, sector reviews, and applied research — from research design and sampling through analysis and publication-quality reporting.

You combine methodological rigor with a practical understanding of the Afghan context: you know what data can realistically be collected, and how to get it right. We value strong analytical writing, experience with both quantitative and qualitative methods, and the ability to present complex findings in clear, decision-ready language.

Financial Verification

Donors and boards trust us to confirm that funds were used as intended. In this role, you will perform expenditure verifications, financial spot checks, and fiduciary risk assessments for grants and programs — tracing money from disbursement to delivery and testing whether controls actually work.

You have a forensic mindset: patient with documents, relentless about reconciliations, and clear in distinguishing error from irregularity. Experience with donor financial rules, audit procedures, and grant compliance is essential, as is the professional courage to report findings accurately and without embellishment.

Due Diligence & Risk

Before our clients commit capital or sign partnerships, they need to know who they are dealing with. As a Due Diligence & Risk expert, you will conduct integrity due diligence, partner assessments, and risk reviews for businesses, financial institutions, and development programs operating in Afghanistan’s complex environment.

You know how to assess counterparty risk, governance weaknesses, and compliance exposure — and how to present risk findings so decision-makers can act on them. We are looking for professionals with strong investigative instincts, knowledge of AML and sanctions considerations, and experience advising clients through difficult go/no-go decisions.

Technical & Sector Studies

Our technical studies inform infrastructure, energy, and sector-level decisions. In this role, you will lead technical assessments, engineering verifications, and sector studies — evaluating whether works were built to specification, whether designs are sound, and whether sector investments are achieving their intended outcomes.

You bring engineering or technical-sector expertise paired with the discipline of independent assessment. Whether reviewing bills of quantities, inspecting works, or analyzing sector data, you produce findings that are technically precise and written for non-technical decision-makers who need to act with confidence.

Data, GIS & Digital

Good data, well mapped and clearly presented, changes how decisions get made. As our Data, GIS & Digital expert, you will build the dashboards, geospatial analyses, and digital data-collection systems that power our monitoring, verification, and research work — from Kobo/ODK form design to interactive results dashboards.

You are fluent in the modern evidence toolkit: data analysis, GIS mapping, and digital collection platforms, with enough field sense to design tools enumerators can actually use. We value people who can take a messy dataset and turn it into a map or dashboard that tells a clear, honest story.

Capacity Building

We don’t just deliver findings — we leave institutions stronger than we found them. As a Capacity Building expert, you will design and deliver training programs, develop curricula, and provide coaching and mentoring in areas like MEL, financial management, compliance, and data skills for Afghan organizations and their staff.

You are a practitioner first and a trainer second: your sessions draw on real engagement experience, not textbook theory. We are looking for professionals with strong facilitation skills, experience developing training materials in Dari, Pashto, and English, and a genuine commitment to developing Afghan professional capacity.
